Panic Attack!/Ataque de Pánico! (2009) is a short film out of Uruguay by Federico Alvarez. It is an amazing accomplishment for only $500; of course a lot of time, effort, and favors helped it along. There is not much of a story other than the robots coming to attack. Still, I was entertained and thought it was well put together. The music sounds like a track from 28 Days/Weeks Later. I don’t usually go for sci fi, but this one is really scary–like 9/11 with fearful robots. It’s going to set box office records.
