    Pretty sure Keanu IS the Alien—warning Earth to get its act together or face possible destruction.

    I love the original so this one won’t ever ruin it for me.

    I’m sure the original was good, and that people not unlike today either liked it or did not. When this one comes out, it will be no different. Some will like it, others won’t. (Nowadays people bitch and whine about everything likes it’s the cool thing to do.) I don’t hear or read much on how much people love “classics”, yet when one gets remade people put the original on a pedestal probably without seeing or actually liking it for the sake of complaining about the new one.

    The issues and concerns the original addressed, reflecting its time is not wholly different today. So it may not just be remaking the film with great fx visuals, but retelling messages of issues that concern similar human conditions today; violence, war, politics, and fear of global annihilation. (Issues also of great concern during the 80s.)

    i actually saw the first one , it is black and white so must of you will find it boring and uninteresting so i don’t known why you are criticizing something you’ve never seen.I agree it is a classic , but are we repeating what all these old critics are saying, to them all the old movies are the best , I tend to disagree most of the time. i can’t wait to see the new version i believe from the trailer it will better than that old black &white movie specially GORT the robot won’t look so fake and rubbery . The acting was pretty good for something for the 50’s and one last thing the original was mostly a dramatic film so no explosions or stunts, so i believe this will be about the same a drama not an action flick.Keanu Reeves is an alien so they are not really human so he should act like robot. Cant ‘wait to see it.
